Hey guys,

As I announced earlier on FOVIPals, in conjunction with this new message board, I am also working on a fan media library website which will feature a lot of video clips, magazine articles, and photos for your enjoyment. Some of the photos and articles date back to 1984!

I am finally starting the laborious process of uploading all the content I've collected and organized. Although I have an extensive personal collection of media, I wanted to thank those of you who have also contributed content for this site.  Smiley  If I do not have the right photo credits on some of the fan event submitted photos, please write me and let me know?  I have so many and although I have tried very hard to keep everything labeled and organized, I am sure there are many that have fallen through the cracks.

I finally have the site layout completed and am now starting the file uploads.  I started the "Professional Gallery" page which features some of Vincent's headshots, "vintage" headshots, promotional, and on-the-town style photos.

Here is the link: http://www.vincent-irizarry.com/gallery.htm

As I update the pages to come, I will post the latest changes here.  If any of you would like to contribute anything to the site, we would love to have your submissions!

It's a beautiful site, Rachel. A lovely gathering place for Vincent's admirers. The video library is stunning!

Thanks, Lika! Great to be here. The set-up is different, but I'll get used to it. DH has been the only other board I've posted on. I found a comfy home there and settled in for a long time. But seeing the VIM members list, I feel like I'm surrounded by good friends.

I think you will really like the ease of this board! It's just laid out really well. IA that it is nice to see everyone over here posting just like on DH. I will miss DH though. It's been a wonderful place to chat and make friends.

It seems to be. I just have to get adjusted to the new format. So far, it's been easy. And I want to study every little facet of it. LOL.

Sy and Annie created an excellent board at DH. A comfortable place for intelligent conversation (most days!). I made some good friends there, people whose opinions I respect. Fortunately, they all seem to have found their way here. LOL. We'll now have the same kind of wonderful home here at VIM as Vincent makes his grand entrance into GC.

Hi Mcdeare!

Thank you so much, I am glad you guys like it.   Smiley  I really hope this will be our online "treehouse" of sorts where all fellow Vincent fans can just hang out and chat with each other!

As you familiarize yourself with the board format, if you ever have any questions do not hesitate to throw them out there?

Cheers, Rachel

I think VIM is a treehouse that will grow into a mansion with ornate chandeliers and even a ballroom! It's a good forum, Rachel, for all VI fans, IMO.

I thought I would try to post a message to see how it works.  After reading your posts, I actually had a tear in my eye.  mcdear, I'm so happy to see you here. Of course, I knew you would be.  So many lovely posters will make the DocHoney board easier to leave (or lose) as the case may be.  Thanks to Sy and Annie for that wonderful board.

I will miss the character of David so much, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Vincent will create next.  Like you, mcdear, I was hoping for an emotionally satisfying conclusion to David Hayward's life in PV, but since it looks like it won't be all I'd hoped, I will finish out my time there and consider December my month of vacation from the soaps (well, maybe an occasional peak at Y&R).  Then in January a New Year and new story to get involved in.  I'm so glad to see so many familiar names here already.  So far, this looks like a easy posting procedure, and it already looks like a lovely board.

Hi Blue!

Welcome to the board, am glad you posted!  I hear you about David's exit...earlier in the month I thought maybe the show would have "more" for him as he left Pine Valley, but unfortunately I was disappointed they did not fully utlilize the many character layers they could have with such a complex man that was David Hayward...

Love having you here and look forward to posting with you.   Smiley

As the last David/Dix holdout, the less I say about his exit (and really the last eight months), the better.  It's why I can put the past behind me and start fresh with a great new character and great new show! Smiley

Blue, I'm very happy to see you also. It's going to be hard to say good bye to Sy and Annie's wonderful DH board, but Rachel has made it so much easier for us, and our wonderful Sy is a moderator. So we're all still together, just in a different forum. Vincent brought us all together, and now he keeps us together. How lucky are we to be fans of one of the genuinely good guys?

No, our conclusion to David Hayward wasn't what we'd hoped for, but Vincent has played him throughout the years with heart and soul. That's what I'll take away with me. And now we can look forward to seeing what Vincent will do with the mysterious character of David Chow. We'll be able to start anew and relish a new character brought to life by one of the legends in Daytime.

I like the way you're looking at December, Blue! A vacation. A respite before we gear up for the next chapter in Vincent's career. LOL.

A big thanks to Sy and Annie! Internet boards are always the friendliest of places, so DH was refreshing. I am glad things can continue over here. Smiley

I love everything you've added to the website since my first visit in the fall.  It was fun watching VI's interviews, which I hadn't seen before?  Is there a way to download the interviews to my computer, the way you can with youtube?

Thanks for adding everything.

You know, I think I have a couple of old D&E promos, and even one from the Ruse in 2003 if you're interested. I have too, when David was in the hunky men promo that AMC did. Hehe. That one I'd be more then happy to clip and upload. Wink

THe two I know are have, are one when D&E were first getting together and they were keeping their relationship underwraps the Summer Sizzle promo, and the other is the proposal promo "To be or not to be" oh, I lied, LOL I have another that I know for sure...the promo of D&E's "almost love scene" set to Lonsetars "Amazed".

I'd be happy to clip them if you want them.Smiley
